About the Role
Husaria Consulting is seeking a skilled Red Team Operator on behalf of a cybersecurity consultancy organization. This role is fully remote within the United States and offers the opportunity to work on diverse client environments, helping organizations identify and address security weaknesses through realistic adversary simulation.
The successful candidate will conduct advanced offensive security engagements, emulate sophisticated threat actors, and provide actionable insights to improve clients’ security posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct red team engagements simulating real-world adversaries across enterprise environments.
- Perform advanced penetration testing against networks, applications, cloud platforms, and endpoints.
- Execute adversary emulation campaigns aligned with frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
- Identify weaknesses in security controls, monitoring capabilities, and incident response processes.
- Develop and utilize custom tooling, scripts, and payloads to support red team operations.
- Conduct internal and external reconnaissance, exploitation, and post-exploitation activities.
- Provide detailed reporting outlining attack paths, vulnerabilities, and remediation recommendations.
- Collaborate with blue teams and security stakeholders during purple team exercises.
- Maintain strong operational security (OPSEC) during engagements.
Required Experience & Skills
- 4+ years of experience in offensive security, red teaming, or advanced penetration testing.
- Strong understanding of adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Cobalt Strike, Metasploit, Burp Suite, BloodHound, and similar offensive security frameworks.
- Experience performing Active Directory exploitation and post-exploitation activities.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, authentication mechanisms, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Experience conducting web application and infrastructure penetration testing.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
- Ability to think creatively and simulate advanced attacker behaviors.
- Strong communication and technical reporting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Offensive security certifications such as OSCP, OSEP, OSWE, CRTO, or equivalent.
- Experience working in a cybersecurity consulting or client-facing environment.
- Familiarity with cloud security testing (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with detection evasion techniques and custom payload development.
- Knowledge of adversary emulation frameworks and threat intelligence methodologies.
